Our Staff

Pastor Jeff Canankamp became Trinity’s Pastor in July of 2016. Pastor Jeff grew up near Wooster Ohio and gave his life to Christ at the age of 17.  He received a call to ministry within a year of his conversion and attended Asbury College and Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.  At Asbury he met his wife, Denise and the two settled in central Pennsylvania where they lived for 28 years, Jeff pastoring various United Methodist churches there. They have three sons, Chris (31), Jonathan (28) and Jordan (26) and three granddaughters. Pastor Jeff and Denise decided to come to the East Ohio Conference and were called to Mt. Gilead Trinity. They are happy to be here serving the Lord near Jeff’s parents who live on a farm in the Wooster area.

Denise Canankamp is Trinity’s church secretary.  She grew up in Pennsylvania and is an only child.  Denise is married to Pastor Jeff.  She is the mother of three adult sons.

Jen Kuhn is Trinity’s Treasurer.

Sabina Anderson is our choir director.  Sabina teaches at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Barb Brewer is the Kitchen Coordinator for Trinity United Methodist Church. She is also the Treasurer for United Methodist Women. Barb was married to Ken and together have three adult children.

Theresa Walsh is Trinity’s Custodian.

 

Diana Kemp is Trinity’s Nursery Staff Member. She and her husband Paul have two children, Alexis and Ethan. Diana is also a Substitute Aide in the Mt. Gilead Exempted Village Schools. She is an active member in TOPS-Take Off Pounds Sensibly- group which is held here at Trinity. She enjoys attending her son’s sporting events, card making and her Sundays in the Nursery with the children.
